Metal Gear Solid ~ Cosplay by Rick Boer
i know not a lot of people add comments to posts reblogging but just gotta say you know what makes this incredible? the weathering on the costume and the location. Without these it’d be a damn good cosplay. With those… holy fuck is this real life I can’t hit reblog fast enough.

Assuming stereotypes about an entire culture? Discrimination.
Assuming stereotypes about an entire religion? Intolerance.
Assuming stereotypes about gender/sexual orientation? Sexism.
Assuming all straight men are walking rape machines who always want to have sex with and abuse women? Female Empowerment.
Assuming all men are potential rapists is still sexism. Assuming all men always consent to sex is still sexism. Assuming all men are inherently violent is still sexism. Assuming male gender related issues are all somehow simply blowback from female gender related issues is not only profoundly ignorant and ethnocentric, it’s also still sexist.
Discrimination against men is still discrimination. Male gender rolls and stereotypes aren’t the backfiring of the ‘patriarchy’, they’re a seperate but equal set of gender based structures put in place to subjugate men along with women. Neither gender is always the victim, neither is always the aggressor.
You can pretend otherwise all you’d like, but the reality of the situation exists outside of your preconceived perceptions about the world.
